Any donations would be highly appreciated, your donations will help us continue with our essential work.

Sandbach Animal Rescue would like to send a big thank you to the wonderful local Sandbach company
NWFE Fire and Security.
NWFE quickly & efficiently installed a fabulous smart fire alarm system throughout our shelter and have donated three fire extinguishers including fitting and servicing to our rescue. Dave (our fire Marshall) has inspected them and he’s thrilled, and so are we. Thank you

The Cats are Back
Over the previous months Sandbach Animal Rescue has undergone a major refurbishment and upgrade. The vision was to make it a premier purpose-built cat rescue and rehoming centre, serving Sandbach and the surrounding areas and we are well on the way to achieving this. We still have a long journey ahead of us though as we have a series of further improvements and upgrades planned.
Although we never closed our doors to our rescuing and rehoming activities, our cats were temporarily housed at a nearby cattery but now they are back in the building!
Are you part of the Brick Club?
We are building a brand new enrichment room, outside
area and upgrading the inside of our rescue centre.
The inside main area is now complete with six brand new pens, including one extra large family pen. This new area will allow the cats to socialize and interact and also help build confidence before they are re-homed.
Phase 2 is now commencing with an enclosed area outside. This will allow the cats more freedom and opportunity to experience the great outdoors and an interesting environment, enabling them to stay mentally healthy and happy
Purchase a brick from as little as £10
and your brick will be a crucial part of the build.
In return, you or someone else will receive a certificate by post.

We have some new additions to the rescue this is princess and her new kittens
Ivy, Wistey and Budlea
Please do not enquire about adoption for these kittens as they will not be offered for rehoming until they are at least 12 weeks old, and will be advertised on the website when ready

And this is Pepper and her family Iona Hamish and Mac.
Princess and Pepper are themselves very young cats
Princess, Pepper and their kittens are fortunate to be in the care of Sandbach Animal Rescue, as lots of cats with kittens are abandoned and left to an uncertain fate. Like the Costa crew who we rescued last year, a mother and four kittens that had been callously abandoned on Sandbach motorway service area and were living next to the busy carriageway behind the Costa coffee outlet, hence their names.
Female cats can become sexually mature and are able to breed from just four months of age, and although everybody loves kittens, the majority of them are unwanted and many are dumped and left to fend for themselves.
Neutering or spaying your cat is the only effective way to reduce the number of unwanted cats in the UK
Last year Sandbach Animal Rescue spent an average of £5000 a month on caring veterinary treatment, food and running expenses. This was the cost to ensure that all the rescued cats and kittens have the chance of a happy and safe life.
Due to the pandemic our fundraising activities have all but ceased, if you can help us in any way please click the button for ways to donate.
Thank You.
