Over the last few months or so the Cattery in Moston has continuously been in “emergency overload” with cats unfortunately in temporary cages. SAR is urgently seeking somewhere suitable to build a cattery, to ease overcrowding.
The cattery in Moston frequently does not have sufficient space to provide a temporary shelter for all unwanted and abandoned animals. When an owner is unable to care for their cat, usually because they have a health problem, or when an animal is suffering due to neglect or has been abandoned, SAR never turn an animal away.
In “emergency overload”, cages are set up in the Moston Cattery kitchen and whilst the cat has little freedom it is at least warm and fed.
The tireless efforts of fundraisers and generous donations have resulted in funds being available to pay for a modest piece of land. |
